About AB Fine Wood
We are a
small company of artisans which offers fine wooden crafts to discriminating customers.
We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Our Organization and Philosophy
There are several people involved in our creative and production process.
Most of us are doing this on a part-time basis,
while pursuing other careers in government, education and business.
We united around the notion of creating beautiful and unique items to
make life a little richer. We are determined to develop our own recognisable
style and image, which we believe is inspired by the classical
European tradition with influences from other cultures and our own experiences.
Our effort is partly motivated by an internal opposition
that all of us feel from time to time: opposition to mass-produced,
disposable, waste generating manufacturing. We would like to produce
artifacts that have a little more personality, a little more meaning: items
that will last and can be passed down to future generations.
Our items are made to serve and please. We hope that you will enjoy them.

Our Founder and Chief Artisian
Anthony White
was born in Asia to parents of European descent. He has traveled extensively and
has been educated in Asia, Europe and North America. Anthony has studied science,
humanities and business.
It was during
Anthony's life in Southern Europe that he developed an interest in crafts and old
European art. The museums, shops and artisans of Italy, Germany and France awakened
his creative spirit and started him searching for the creative medium and style to work
in. After settling in Canada, he established a small woodworking shop and started
experimenting with wooden pieces for himself, his family and friends.
AB Fine Wood
has developed from Anthony White's experiences and ideas.
