Custom Work
Because all of our items are hand crafted, we cannot have a large inventory or a set number of products. Our intention is to have each item be unique or part of a very limited set; as a result, our customers may not immediately find what they desire. It is here that our custom work shows its value.

Before you order, ask yourself the following Questions:

What is the item? And, what is the intended use? (jewelry box? a floor vase? a wedding chest? ETC.)
What type of wood do you prefer? If you are not sure, think about qualities such as colour, grain and hardness. You can do some research on the internet. Some of our wood suppliers are listed in our Links.
What is the desired size of the item? Are there any measurements which need to be exact? For example: a floor vase might need to fit exactly into a 45 inch niche, but in other instances the height might be approximately 4 feet.
If your item is a box, would you like it to have divisions and subdivisions? How exact should the measurements be? For example: a box made to display a collection of coins will have much more rigid specifications than a treasure chest with two compartments.
Would you like to have any additional features in the item? You might consider lining, lining with padding, locks, special hinges, glass windows, handles, legs or supports, inserts of other woods, or other features. Linings, handles, inserts and other embellishments come in a variety of colours and materials; we can help you select these to suit the wood you have chosen.

If you have any questions, or need help describing an item, please contact us before placing your order.
Send us a description of each item you order, using the Questions above as a guide.
Please state your preferences on how we can correspond with you.
After receiving your description, we will provide you with a quote for the price and time required to make the item. We will send the quote within 2-3 days, unless we have to do additional research such as finding suppliers and quotes for very rare wood or hardware. We may also contact you for clarification before providing a quote.
Full payment is required when you place your final order.
The usual completion time for an order is 1 to 3 months. There may be an additional charge for rush orders.
